All our projects have the same denominator... Us respecting history. We put emphasis on professional, detailed renovation and restoration of period objects and historic buildings conducted in cooperation with top European specialists.
It was not only this historic house’s location in a quiet part of otherwise busy city centre that we were drawn by but also the story behind its existence. The material used for its construction was exceptional for the time it was built in (1891). Unique were also the accessories used for its decoration such as a carved Madonna, or a cardinal direction indicator, which found its place in the interior upon its delicate restoration.
The Madonna is being currently restored in the studio run by the Šivanovs, a couple from the Spiš Region. They have also restored the Altar of Master Paul of Levoča with its figures being CT diagnosed in a hospital in Spišská Nová Ves.
In the close vicinity of Elisabeth’s Apartment, there are many sights forming part of this largest conservation area in Slovakia. These are, for instance, THÁLIA Theatre, Saint Elisabeth’s Cathedral, Hlavná Street and its cafés or a modern shopping centre.
The “genius loci” of the house that was reconstructed as late as 130 years after its construction, is decorated with Košice symbols such as an angel or the patroness of this city Elisabeth of Hungary. The goal of this 19th century burgher house reconstruction was to create more than just an accommodation facility. We always bear in mind today’s needs and the desires you... as our dear guests may have! Elisabeth’s Apartment offers everything that might be needed and used by today’s family.
The above-mentioned ‘respecting of history’ is the incentive we also apply to the rest of our projects:
Thank you for your trust, for letting us take care of your sleep…
